I work with clients who suffer from a range of mental health difficulties, including depression, mood disorders, and trauma. I have experience working with individuals who have substance use disorders, those with severe and persistent mental illness, as well as those who are seeking to alleviate anxiety.
My professional experience is varied. I have worked in private practice serving clients with a range of difficulties including depression, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, grief, and loss. I have worked as a Program Supervisor at a group home for people with serious and persistent mental illness and have facilitated group and individual counseling sessions for people who suffer from these illnesses. In addition, I have experience assisting adults in recovery from drugs, alcohol, obsessive eating, and internet addiction.
I utilize a person-centered approach to therapy. I take my time to listen and to truly hear my clients. Through the arising of self-awareness my clients learn to incorporate a greater sense of joy and purpose into their lives.
